The regular schedule is on the owners manual. I think that it says 30K for changing the air intake filter and 60K for cabin filter. I normally change the intake air filter once a year. I have never changed cabin filter. I just blown the dust off using the air compressor.

Owner's Manual says to inspect at 6 months or 5K miles and replace every 36 months or 30K miles for the cabin filter in your 2008 RX350. This is much less frequent than for the RX330, perhaps due to design, which has you replacing every 12 months or 10K miles.
I would inspect it at each oil change interval at a minimum (5K miles) and vacuum it to remove any debris like pollen. A quick spray of a Lysol product with an acceptable scent is optional. If you are noticing any odd smells in the vehicle or the filter looks dirty then I would replace.
As for the engine filter, the Owner's Manual has you inspecting every 6 months or 5K miles and replacing every 36 months or 30K miles -- just like the cabin filter in your RX350. Believe this is the same as the RX330.
Checking this filter is not always convenient as it requires tools. Then, it is somewhat a pain getting the air box back together again. If do your own oil changes then this is not a problem while you have the hood open anyway. If you have a shop do your oil changes for you they may be checking your filter already for you at this interval. Ask them. Should you want to inspect, it would probably be sufficient to check every 12 months or 10K miles.
Living or traveling in some areas of the country and/or times of the year may necessitate you cleaning or replacing your filters more frequently than other areas. Is your RX garage kept or is it parked outside? Do you have a lot of pollen in your area?

BTW, as I change these filters myself as needed I take the opportunity to write with a Sharpie the date and mileage at the time of the install on the edge of the filters as best possible. The RX filters have a nice edge to do this -- at least the ones I use (WIX). That way I do not need to always remember when it was last replaced.

No garage queen, my RX330. Is a bit rough around the edges these days. In this case it is just an old man who doesn't get out as much any more. No running to the office and back five days (or more) a week. Now, it gets out perhaps a couple times a week with a run to the grocery store, lunch or dinner. A tank of gas lasts a month or so.
The others (the real trailer queens) actually in the garage/barn see even less use these days.
