Question Battery recommendations for 350 please

Hi, Have replaced my 300 w a RX350. 70k miles on battery and I left the hatchback open all night. Dead battery, called AAA. Jump started and tested. Said I had a dead cell and needed a new battery. Recommendations? Sears, Walmart, Lexus, whatever experts think please comment. AND please tell me if there are any gotcha's heard rumors of saving memory, secondary problems with NAV etc. Thanks so much.

Thanks much. Got the Walmart and had it installed. Called Lexus and got a quote for 250 to have a Lexus battery installed by them. So thought a Walmart install would be OK based on everyone's experience. Expect the battery will be fine, did lose all destinations in my NAV, and preferences on all electronics etc. So, I guess Stevek1 was right and that was not done. I asked if they could do a save of what was in memory and they said that would not be a problem. But I am resetting all things, so I will know next time to not let them dismiss this but tell me exactly what they are doing to save my presets. Thanks all.

I would stick with name brand batteries...that is just my opinion. There are a ton out there...but a Lexus battery should be right around 125.00 or so. Your looking around at least 100.00...but as long as you get a battery that matches up to factory specs or better you should be fine.

and you need to jump power to your cables while replacing the battery or you will lose a lot of presets.

I brought one for 08 from Costco and it works well. There are not much difference among batteries out there and if you look at the recommendations from 'Consumer Reports', you can find one which is better than average.

Batteries are batteries....unless you have special needs (e.g. sound system) otherwise go with the ones with better warranty.

I've been using the one from Costco for my cars and have no problem at all.

Actually CR gives high ratings to Walmart batteries. I've bought 2 (incl for my rx330) and they work great incl thru the winters and at a reasonable price. Ps I bought a Costco battery several yrs ago and only got 3yrs out of it....never again

CR just trated teh Duralast GOLD series as their best tested for 2012.

Most batteries will last 4-6 years. The warmer climates are harder on batteries and 4 years is not unheard of though 5 is about average in warmer climates. Colder ones can get 6 or 7 years usually.

I got my RX330 battery from Sams, they were around $85 after tax compare to $150 at Lexus.

I think I got a really good deal at Sams vs Lexus for similar or same quality battery.

Costco has 72 or 100 month warranty now (I don't exactly remember the number of month but is really long). So if the battery fails in 3 years you can get refund.

The Costco replacement is a bit taller, I had to use some shims on the tie down, can not beat the price and warranty. The specs are greater than OEM.

I've always had really good luck with Interstate batteries in my cars over the years.

I think Interstate and Optima are better than most. However on all of my vehicles I replace the battery after 3 years of use no matter what. I might pay a bit more in the long run but I'm never stranded and a battery from the Toyota dealer has been under $100.
