Buying a 2009 rx350, should I do it???
I'm looking to purchase a 2009 rx350 for my mother-in-law
I know in general, Lexus are highly reliable cars. I still drive my 2004 IS300 without any problems.
Things I'm looking for are reliability and any known issues with that year. If it were you, would you purchase a used rx350? From a search here I've seen some talk about premature water pump failures and vibrational noise as some complaints about the car.
Any advise would be much appreciated!

I thus decided to keep it (though I did purchase an extended warranty from Jerry at Midwest Toyota. His price and service were excellent.) If you are concerned about reliability, you might look into an extended warranty. I do know that the dealership in Miami was offering a warranty from "Fidelity", which was accepted by Lexus, similar to the Lexus Platinum Extended Warranty, for cars that were just out of warranty (which did not apply to me). If your car is out of warranty, that might be a solution if you have concerns. Good luck!
The URL for the Hunter location finder is below. Only applies (from where I am) to US/Canada/Germany - might help though, since you can see the model number of the machine...

You are absolutely right. I had found the site and then edited the wrong thread. My bad..... Sorry to all!
However, my comments about my 09RX350 remain.
