Default 04 RX 330 Radio Not Working

my radio/cd player hasn't worked for 5 months. 3 weeks ago, the radio came on and worked for about 45 minutes. Since then, i occasionally hear a static noise and the radio comes on for a few minutes then nothing again for several days.
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Could be almost anywhere in the system from the headend to the amp to the wiring. There are not enough details in your post to make a positive determination. You need to find a competent shop to take a look at the system to try and locate the problem.

The following is a repair shop in Syracuse once you find the component which is bad.

My 2004 RX330 Radio just stopped working several weeks after the warranty replacement of a cracked dashboard. There is no power going to the radio or cd player. This is a standard radio with am/fm and cd player, nothing fancy. My dealer wants $960 to replace. Says the radio just quit. Out of all of the cars I have owned for the past 30+ years I have never had a radio just stop working. Has anyone had a problem like this?

Same thing happened to me. Took it in because it was a warranty replacement and it came back with the left front speakers and door is not working we didn't notice it for about a month because when my wife is in the car she likes to talk so the radio is off all the time then came the moment I was driving by myself that I noticed it. I believe they had a rookie because the top of the speaker was not properly aligned and missing a side screw.

Normally if a electronic issue is intermittent, the problem should be a contact/ connection somewhere.
I imagine it will not be a very expensive repair if done with a reputable/ honest outfit.

Did you check the rear of the head unit to see if the connection is still secure? There are three wiring harnesses and two antennas. I just upgraded my 04 RX330 (with Nav) stereo with a Pioneer 4200NEX for approx $575 including the necessary wiring harnesses. My new aftermarket stereo has way more features than the stock replacement head unit at almost half the price.

Did you do it yourself or get the work done at some shop? Might be looking into doing something similar.

After hours of research on this and other forums, I did the stereo install myself. I made a step by step video of the install, here's the video if you'd like to check it out:

Default RX 330 Radio

I am the one who originally posted the problem with the radio.
I bought a used amplifier (located under the rear passenger side seat) and it has been working for several years.

Apparently you haven't read these posts carefully, I responded to your original post.....
again, Normally if a electronic issue is intermittent (otherwise your Stereo works at times, then it doesn't work at times) the problem should be a contact or connection somewhere.
