Rattle around top of backseat driver side?
I know troubleshooting a rattle on the web is tricky, just curious if anyone had any ideas.
I've had my CPO 2008 RX 400h for just 2 months and I'm almost ready to eat the loss and get rid of it. I'm taking vacation this week to deal with it, and if after that I can't get help, I might just sell it and get a Ford. The big issue is pulling that I posted about a while ago, but now a rattle that I thought was fixed is back.
There is a somewhat high pitched sound that comes from the top of the backdoor on the passenger side. Almost like someone blowing hard on a piece of paper. When certain mid-range voice tones hit on the radio, I can hear it. When you hit any sort of vibration in the road, I can hear it. It's downright maddening.
I took it the dealership when I first got the car for this and some other problems (bad tire sensor, pulling, and 2 rattles). They fixed the "leather ratlte" and it hasn't come back.
This one they told me was a weather strip. Since it came back, I have messed with the weather strip, but can't figure out what (if anything) I should do to correct it - and I don't want to make it worse.
Anyway, I know CPO doesn't technically cover rattles, but I'm going to try to get the dealership to take a second look. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Try reading this thread to see if it sounds familiar with the rattle:

Thanks for the link. I don't think that's it... but it could be. I searched around for rattles on the forum and missed that thread.
This thing is not constant and will do it standing still if the right tone hits on the radio (like talking). It also does it with road vibrations.
I will mention that when I take it in.
