Default Manually shifting the transmission = feels quicker

Tried "shifting" my RX330 today (don't worry I don't normally drive it like this), and there is a very noticeable difference between this and leaving it in Drive. The shifts were significantly quicker and crisper, and felt much snappier. Didn't even use much throttle either. In Drive they are a lot more sluggish. Could be that this car has been driven real easily its whole life and the transmission "learned" this driving style. Anyone else tried this and noticed a difference?

Welcome to Club Lexus!

You can reset the adaptive learning by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes.

TSIB? I have no idea...it's an 06 if that makes any difference. The tranny doesn't hesitate that much and is generally smooth. Only gripe is I have to give it a pretty good amount of gas before it finally decides to downshift
