Seems to be the real deal (RX 330?)

Wow, are people ever so touchy
I just meant that the new photo made the Harrier look like it was a lot shorter/more squat. In fact, almost like a overgrown station wagon like the Pacifica.
As far as the Pacifica is concerned, you have to realized that the Pacifica was designed to compete with the original RX. And because of that, there are some design similarities. So of course the Pacifica is going to resemble the new RX/Harrier on some level. The overall shape is like the RX, a 2 box rounded suv look. Specifically a crossover suv. Look at the silouettes. In contrast, the two are not boxy truck-like suvs like the Range Rover, 4-Runner or Nissan Pathfinder. One minor detail is the prominent D pillar flares out as it goes towards the roof on both.
I'm not saying they are exactly alike. Just there's just a general resemblance.

Person A: "In fact it looks a Chrysler Pacifica..."
Person B: "It looks nothing like a Pacifica."
Disagreeing=touchy? Sorry, I fail to see that similarity, as well.

Excellent ! I can`t believe that you got this picture. GXS, do have some other pictures ? It would be really great. I am sure you have more because since you had the possibility to get this one, so you definitely had the chance to get a pic of the interior and the backside.

At www.edmunds.com a guy posted a link where you can find the other picture (front view) that was taken during the shooting in Sydney. Take a look at the pic below and then tell me if you still think that there are similarities to the Pacifica.

Some more info from another guy (rsmwalker) at edmunds.com:
I just returned from a focus group interview -- I received a call at home and was cleared to participate in a 45-minute interview for a $100 cash fee. After arriving, I learned that this was for a campaign for launching the RX330. They showed me four commercial ideas where they detailed the following:
(1) Laser cruise control
(2) Rear parking camera -- image displayed on LCD/NAV screen
(3) Steer sensitive headlights
(4) 11-speaker Mark Levinson stereo
(5) Enhanced aerodynamics as RX330 will lower to ground after a certain speed (assume 50-60)
(6) Rear DVD
Pictures and video confirmed that the photos on ClubLexus are legit. Very good looking vehicle.

Yes, I do still think they look alike.
I won't be getting a Pacifica though...
So how likely are all the commercial ideas going to be available?
Below are my thoughts on the options.
Laser cruise control. YES, I want this.
Rear parking camera. STRONG YES, easier to parallel parking.
Steer sensitive headlights. YES, tech advantage over other SUVs.
Mark Levinson stereo. YES, this is already confirmed right?
Variable height suspension for speed. STRONG YES, tech
Rear DVD. DON'T CARE, I don't have kids.
Which of these options do you guys really want?
What would be nice was an interior that was more aftermarket stereo friendly.
Can you imagine how ugly some of the future installs are going to look like?

Oh man those chronograph/IS style gauges are so weird looking in the RX. I thought the older gauges were just fine. I found them easy to read and straight foward. Oh well. Overall this is going to be the best SUV out there. I dont even recall other Lexus cars or SUVs having some of these features. The older toyota soarers used to be a back up camera but the SC never did. That would be a really helpful thing to have. I always wondered about the steering sensitive headlight. Whenever I drive at night I also wondered why they have came out with those. Its about damn time. The steering wheel mounted controls are gonna be a real convinience. Over all this is gonna be a great SUV.
