Default Torn Armrest

I tore the leather on the rear passenger side armrest on my 04Rx330. I took it to an upholstery shop and they couldn't match the light gray color. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Club Lexus. All Lexus dealerships have certain shops that they use for repairs not done by them. Such as paint, glass, vinyl or leather repair. Take the vehicle to the dealership and ask the service manager who they recommend to repair this armrest.

Welcome to Club Lexus, rong59. Thanks for posting the photo. Gives those here a chance to actually see the problem at hand.

Others here may be able to comment on a possible repair. Plenty of folks here from CA who know some shops that might help. I will concentrate only on some replacement options.

eBay is one source to obtain a replacement. You may have to keep going back and searching until one turns up of the right color and quality. For example:

Do you find the current armrests too narrow? If so, now may be a time to upgrade. Several here have gone wide with the following company:

As for the actual labor, the cap covering the hardware pulls off easily and you then just need a wrench, socket and extension to get in there to remove the nut.

A good upholstery shop should be able to repair that. The guy in the vids below doesn't show the process but the results are good, maybe you could call him.
