I agree. Sorry for false statement. I assumed that parts are mounted the same to the engine block, but did not take in consideration the engine bay compartment clearances for various Toyota models.

But to answer Lexie's question the water pump has the same design since it's the same part number for all the models with this motor. Not necessarily the same problem with access to it though. Thanks for the correction, RX330inFL!

Does the engine in a lexus 350 engine have a timing chain or belt and should the timing belt/chain be replaced before it breaks herb

chain not belt and you dont have to replace

The RX350 and its 3.5L engine uses a timing chain and not a timing belt. The RX330 uses a timing belt. The timing chain has no service interval and should be good for the life of the vehicle.
