Default Towing package - Do I have it or not?

I just installed the tow hitch and wired the 4 flat harness.....

I heard that if you open up the back and see the wire harness, does that mean that my Rx has the factory tow package (towable up to 3500)?

Will post up pictures after I wash it.

Thanks...

Look through the little grill below the driver's side fog light. If you see a tranny cooler in there (looks like a tiny radiator) then you likely have the towing package. The airflow from this area actually exits into the wheel well just ahead of the driver's side front wheel, but it's harder to see the radiator from that side.

Also, I read somewhere that if the "L" symbol in the front grill is open (like you can stick your finger right through it) then it has the tow package. Not 100% sure if this is true across all the generations/models (for example my 2006 400h has the 'open' L, but later hybrids have the blue L - I don't think the blue L can be open due to it needing to be solid to show the blue)

What bolt size is this?

So, when I installed the hitch, there were 4 bolts closest to the rear. The last two (one on each side) bolts were in place with a rubber bolt. However, the hitch needs this last set of bolts for the install. Anybody have an idea what size?

Thanks

I know I don't have the small radiator. But I do see a fuse in the fuse box marked tow. What's that mean?

More than likely it is for the towing lights circuit.

You can also check the window sticker or verify thru the vin the options. If it says TO, it has the Tow Option>

Honestly, it depends on what you would be towing, weight, how often, terrain etc. Adding a cooler is not too hard to do. But you have to make sure their is enough clearance between the A/C condenser. Never put it directly on the condenser, or your A/C performance will be drasticly reduced. Or have your dealer install a factory cooler. And maybe you could do that yourself as well.

Are you in Western PA? or a very hilly area? If so, I`d want a cooler on there.
