The problem was not widespread, so a general recall was not needed. Rather, when a leaking radiator in a car in the designated group that received or probably received one from this bad batch, Lexus will replace it at no charge to the customer (this charge probably being born by the supplier of the part, rather than by Lexus). If your car is in this range, then your warranty or extended warranty or CPO warranty is not relevant.
I hope that this information helps (I also hope that it is accurate).
I have an 05 RX330. and definitely had radiator problems. I heard from several reliable sources that Lexus of that period are known for that.
I replaced it myself. It wasn't difficult, just a pain in the butt.
I hope you get your warranty, mine was way past having in. Good luck!
Why are there lines through my text? Huh.....

Default it has been 11 years since I updated this thread

And I never provided the details of what actually ended up happening. The radiator in question had the weld problem, they had seam failures. At first Lexus was offering nothing until I pointed out the Service Bulletin after a bit of back and fort they offered free part pay for installation. Since they were also doing the water pump they had let slip that they would be taking the rad out anyway. When I heard this, I questioned why would I need to pay for the Rad since they were already removing and then putting back the rad?
I called my mechanic asked for the best Rad money could buy and the replacement RAD and Labor were less thant the dealer wanted for Labor only. THey tried to tell me I was getting a good deal since I would be getting a genuine Lexus part. My response was that we already determined that the Lexus part sucked.
They replaced the water pump but the filed Rad back in filled it with water and I took it to mechanic and got it replaced that same day.

Moral of the story I saved hundreds of dollars, got a superior part and the dealer never saw that vehicle again. BTW, I still have that 2005 RX330 Thunder Cloud edition to this day. Thinking of getting rid of it since it is not used much only has 89,000 miles.

Sometimes there are aftermarket parts that are improved/upgraded over the oem parts....
