Warranty and ignition coils, P0355
Hello, was wondering what experiences other have had related to the replacement of ignition coils under a Lexus warranty. Was it done as EMISSIONS Warranty, or DRIVE TRAIN Warranty? I am under a Cert. Pre Own warranty, and I am still under on both time and mileage.
In 2 days, I have had the following experiences:
1. 12/13/2011, am : Called 1-800-25-LEXUS, was told this was Drive Train Warranty
2. 12/13/2011, pm : Called 1-800-25-LEXUS, was told this was Emissions Warranty
3. 12/14/2011, am : Called Dealer 1, was told this was Drive Train Warranty.
4. 12/14/2011, am : Called Dealer 2, was told this was Drive Train Warranty. Told did one last week.
5. 12/14/2011, am : Called Dealer 3, was told this was Emissions Warranty.
I have been specific in describing my problem each time. I plan to ask for documentation from those who agree that it is drivetrain to support any 'potential' problem. I plan to take my RX350 to "Dealer # 2", and they agreed to print out the paperwork prior to me leaving my car with them.
Has anyone else found this amount of inconsistency with Lexus?
If you had the same problem, can you shed some light (and possibly information) on how you confirmed the ignition coil was under Drive Train Warranty? (I've come to find that drivetrain is 100k miles for a CPOwned, but Emissions is 75k... is that true?)
THANKS!

I've come to find that drivetrain is 100k miles for a CPOwned, but Emissions is 75k... I am at 88k.

Pole Position
Usually the emissions is set in the owners warranty booklet and is dependent on which state, or Federal emissions.
I know in California it is 100k miles....for most items...Log onto MY Lexus and input your car and vin #...On that site there is a section for viewing the different owners manuals...look at the warranty booklet and see what and when is it covered.
