Default 2007 RX350 19k

Would you buy a 2007 RX350 AWD with 92k miles.

Clear carfax and all service records has Navigation

Price would be 19k, is that to high?

Seems like the miles are pretty high for the year, but if the service is up to date, if the car looks good, and it checks out with a mechanic, go for it.

definitely a buy. all you need is to get a trans fluid flush, timing belting replacement, and spark plugs changed, and it is good to go for another 100K miles. best of luck! also, make sure you have the synthetic oil change while at it if purchased.

With those miles i like a complete trans fluid change over a flush.

Don't get a fluid flush.... Only a drain and fill.

Sounds like a good price. If it's clean and title look's good go for it. I wouldn't worry about the miles, it's a Toyota after all.

The 2007 RX uses World Standard Transmission Fluid, no flush is necessary. The 2007 model does not use a timing belt, is has a timing chain. The spark plugs don't need replacement until 120K.

Not a drain and fill and not a flush but a complete fluid change. (diff procedure over a flush)

This ATF fluid change has been discussed here hundreds of times. Lets do it again. Starting with the 2007 RX350 model, Lexus went from ATF Type IV to World Standard Transmission Fluid. It was introduced to reduce maintenance costs and increase the mileage between scheduled maintenance checks.

"Lexus Technical Service Information Bulletin TC008097, June 28, 2007 - 100,000 mile Maintenance Interval - Inspection only; ATF-WS does NOT require any flushing or changing during the life of the vehicle".

The fluid would only require changing at the 100K inspection if there is a burnt smell or the fluid is off color. This is not to say you can't change it if you want, just be sure to use only Toyota ATF-WS Fluid. Be aware World Standard Fluid is more expensive than Type IV.

I would add my Chevy Malibu 2002 had same instructions for transmission fluid (lifetime), and I don't think at year 2001 (I bought it) the fluid in Chevy was better than in Lexus same year. My mechanic didn't recommend me to touch transmission unless fluid shows signs of burnt or discoloration. I have RX330 2005.
BTW Chevy still runs.No trans. fluid changed.
RX330 runs, no trans. fluid changed (150K kilometres).

This matter has been discussed oh so many times, I won't add my 2 cents.

But, let me just say this. No fluid is lifetime!

No, of course, but what about recommendations for the World Standard Fluid? Should it be replaced even if it looks good?
If no, than what's the big difference between it and Type IV?

usually drain and fill will do the trick...

WS are much thinner than T-IV
