Thoughts on 245/40/18 Tire size for an '06 RX?
Your thoughts on 245/40/18 tire size for my 2006 RX is appreciated. I am looking at a set of rims which come with the tires of that size already on them. Tried posting as an addition on my other thread but wasn't getting much of a response and really need some input. Please let me know what you think!!

Way, way too small in diameter.
Check here - http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
The standard tire size on the RX with 18" wheels for your generation was 235//55/18. The size for the 17" wheels was 225/65/17. Try both sizes in the tire calculator vs. the 245/40//18 and you'll see they are far too small - diameter difference is around 8%. It's recommended not to exceed 3%.
