This guy that lives a couple of houses from me. His 04 Rx330 is at 190K is still run perfectly...regular oil/tire/minor maintenance service. I hear no noise coming from his engine, belt is still in orginal. And, he does mostly highway driving.

I just bought my 2008 RX 350 at CarMax. It had a little over 58K miles on it. I took it to my local Lexus dealer and for $212 they did the same inspection they do on their CPO vehicles. They found one minor problem so I took it back to CarMax and had them fix it...

honestly just get extended warranty on drivetrain its worth it my dad bought an 2008 rx350 from the u.s from ontario canada at november 2010 about two years ago he saved liked 8g's on price the engine light came on he drove like that he said about 2 weeks or more they cars died got it towed to lexus blow the engine(his fault though) he needed a new motor cost him 8g's and he didnt get extended warranty he have to pay out his pocket so better be safe that sry my dad owned lexus a es before and a bmw and never had any problem like that but you never know how the past owner was maintaining the car properly when i buy my 2008 is250 and rx350 got extended warranty you have a peace of mine atleast cuz i have owned honda's before and lexus is a different ball game and amazing car just figured i shared cuz i ask my dad before i bought the is250 and he told me to get extended warranty cost a little extra but the prices on any parts at lexus is expensive
