Steering Wheel squeak when retract???? (RX 330 model)
Hi everyone. Has anyone experience their steering wheel squeak when it retracted after you take the key out of the ignition? And i don't mean the usual sound that they make when it extend or retract...it squeak like it need lube or something..it does it once in a while though...not all the time...

yeah me too...i found out that u can set the steering wheel to stay at stationay without it extent or retract everytime u stick the key into the ignition..but have to bring it to the dealer for them to re-set the preference.

Im thinking of having mine deactivated too. I dont really care for that option. Just like I cant stand when the drivers seat goes back when you exit the car! I dont have that activated either.

Yeah, there is a long spiral gear that spins into a housing for the column. The trim for the column is like a clam shell- top and bottom. Sometimes it's the actual motor going bad, but most times it's the gear that just needs a little grease on it.
When that option is set to your liking it nice. But if it's set to take you out of your comfort range than yeah, it's uncomfortable. It feels like the seat is way back and I'm falling into the car when I get in. You can program the limits. I don't remember off the top of my head how tho, sorry
