Hell no, I've hated Jimmy Buffett ever since that whole short people episode, I was dating a short girl and had to give her up because I kept thinking about nasty little feet. Other than those nasty little feet she was a keeper!

That wasn't a Jimmy Buffett song. You've been blaming the wrong guy for your failed love life. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Short_People

Well, that's only because Buffett didn't think of it first, like the politician said; it's the seriousness of the accusation that matters.

I think it looks good. The paint isn't a perfect match but if you didn't know it was added later you wouldn't know. A little Texas sun will soon sort it out.

Seriously, when you bought your car if you had been offered a color coordinated fin or a black stick which would you have picked?

is It centered on the roof? Can you somehow take a birds eye picture. Looks different, looks clean, looks good.

question is, how's the reception? Any change in nav or radio?

With a roof rack still installed you might want to go black just to blend in. Looks like it belongs that way, painted white, without the rack.

At least I now know how it would look on my white 2004. Will wait to hear how the reception is and even then perhaps will wait until after the holidays.

It fits over the stub of the black antenna after you remove the stalk so it is exactly where your stick is now. You can see the position in the first pic. It looks less odd than the black stick.

It is not attached in these pics, just sitting where it will go so actually, I have no antenna attached at all but I'm still getting great reception. I guess being in the middle of Dallas helps.

It is so simple I am going to put it on myself, it's like the armrests, a monkey could do it by accident so I can certainly handle it. I'll need my step ladder to make sure it is straight but other than that, I could do it standing on the ground.

It's that shrieking fin whistle at speed that is the most bothersome.

I thought the fin would sound like the music from Jaws instead

It's installed, dead simple. Reception is superb, even our city owned classical station which will rattle if a gum wrapper blows near the antenna.

Honestly who listens to the radio anyways anymore. Only ones worth a dam ARE the classical stations. We only have one in SoCal.

^^^ raises hand...

Though they killed the local jazz station, there is plenty on the dial to listen to and I do listen to the university and their NPR feed from time-to-time for news.
