Default 2006 rx rear view mirror ?

When i start the engine the mirror always go to dark.....i have to press the mirror button every time i go somewhere..is there a way to make it come on without darkening ?

i think auto is default
however the dimming thingy there for a reason
you can try turn off the ambient lighting inside your car

It dims when the front looking sensor (the sensor you would see if you are standing in front of the car and looking at the back side "non reflective" side of the mirror) sees "darkness" and when the sensor that you see when sitting in the drivers seat (the other side of the buttons where the green indicator light is when the mirror is on) sees bright light. Make sure that nothing is covering the sensor on the back side of the mirror (like a parking permit sticker or something like that) and you shouldn't have any more issues. Also make sure that there is nothing like dust or anything of that sort stuck in the "groove" of the sensor on the back side of the mirror where the sensor is receded.
