How much brightness do you need? My high beams at night are nice and bright. Heck, their brighter than my wife`s Mercedes. I`m not trying to see Long Island from my house at night though either.

Lexus114... well I figure when you use your high beam its because you want to be able to see, so might as well be able to light up the road.
Also on the fog lights I am doing the 3000K which is yellow. Yellow in the fog and bad weather is better to help you see.

Well, maybe your high beams arent as bright as mine, because mine light up the road excellently. Also,if you really wanted to see better in the fog, you would want yellow bulbs or lenses. You are correct in the yellow being better for the fog. Honestly, re; the high beam lights,I rarely use my high beams especially in the summer. They just attract too many bugs.

dbl047, when you are saying hid for high beam do you mean by stuffing an aftermarket 35watt kit in and leave it alone ? Before you go buy a kit, it doesn't quite work, the bulb will eventually be on but don't expect instant high beam on hid kit. Now if you are talking about retrofitting a bixeon hid projector in, then that is a different story.

Can you take a picture of night shot and show us ? I'm doing hyper ballast bixeon setup
for my high beam. The project is almost done here is the teaser

I've tried everything including the HID conversion. Then i found these. Best hi beams lights I've ever had. Now I have them on both of my Lexuses.
Highly recommend.

did you plan to replace the high-beam bulbs so their colour output matches the stock low-beam HID bulbs?
That's what I'd like to do as I don't like the colour mismatch of the yellowish high-beam compared to the blueish low beam!
I believe the colour temp of the stock HID low beam is around 4500K-4800K

I believe if you get the 5000K it will be very close.
