Default Lexus RX models - Best All-season tire choices

I receive a number of phone calls per day regarding the best all-season tire for the Lexus RX model, so I thought a post may help some find their answers through the forum. Most of the Lexus RX owners I speak with want a tire that is smooth, quiet, hydroplaning resistant and has good snow and ice grip. I have compiled a list of the top 3 performers from my personal customers experiences as well as overall great customer survey results to back up these recommendations.

Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring

Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza

Michelin Latitude Tour

Love the ComforTred touring on our RX. In our experience, much better ride than the Alenza.

I guess that means this is a tire for buyers with good doctors.

The Yokohama Parada Spec-X (Street/Sport Truck All-Season) is a really good choice as well. This is more of a sporty feeling tire which has great steering response and cornering feel, but the stiffer sidewall does have a bit of a harsher ride then a touring tire. So, if you drive your RX a little harder than the average RX driver this is a great choice. Long wearing, quiet and does great in winter weather. Great recommendation.

I like my Kumhos. Quieter than the stock Michelins and a lot cheaper.

zig@tr, can you pm the quote for all the tires above?

I'm in the market to replace all 4 tires. It's 18 inch. I can get you detail later.

Sure, it would be much easier if you would email me your postal code as I need to figure the taxes and duties to collect upfront before we ship to Canada. Just click on my email below.

what about Kumho Solus KL21? There aren't any reviews that are coming from RX owners.

ExtremeContact DWS(Ultra High Performance All-Season)

After reading the reviews, I choose these. Sporty feel, all season, quiet and great utog.

Jeff, I have these Continental DWS's on my 06 Acura TL 6spd, and while they grip better than stock Michelins, they have a much weaker sidewall, and constantly flatten out at temperatures below 60. That is, if the temp gets colder than about 60 overnight, then you will have flat spots and thumping sounds for first 5-10 miles.
