Default Seat Wobbles while driving 05' Rx330

Any ideas? When driving around 40-60 mph the pax seat wobbles when there is no one seated in it, same with the console. The steering wheel doesn't and the car drives straight..... We just bought new tires, (needed) thought the wobble would go away, but it remains, have tried rotating the tires with no luck. Lexus rep says to do a force/balance check...... wondering if any of you experts have any other ideas....

Thanks.

So we took it to the dealer to get 2 recalls done..... They said there is excessive slack in the front axle, due to aftermarket parts....dont know why, but they wanted $2100 dollars to replace. Anyone know where to get the parts cheaper?

Also they said the freeze plug on the radiator is leaking wanted 130 bucks....which drain plug is that? The one on the top left side?

Thanks

Did they mention exactly what parts should be replaced? Is the reason for replacement simply to get it back to all Lexus or did they say that would cure the seat tremor?

Is the freeze plug on the radiator or the engine block?

The leaking plug should be easy to locate, but you need to crawl under.

Either you will see an active drip or you will see a crust/white-pink deposit.

After market wheels/rims or even damaged wheels and rims can cause dynamic forces [shakes that you feel]. If they are not attended to in time, they end up wearing the bushings and ends. Think of it as some is pounding on them with a hammer.

If you feel your dealer is blowing smoke, you can go to suspension specialist in town [not the chain names]. Check with tuner enthusiasts and they will tell you where to go.

With Lexus, one is limited to OEM parts [I do not recommend anything other than OEM (limited market keeps the renouned companies out)]. Typically suspension works is out of a DIY scope ,,, unless you are advanced DIYer and have tools and jigs.

andresatp, How many miles did your RX have when it started this shaking? Just turned 117K and i am wondering if this replacement may be in my near future. I have been planning out my updates... ie. plugs, rear end/trans case fluids, struts, etc... Already had the trans flush, TB, and Waterpump done.

It has 83K miles, I just bought the RX 6 months ago, and supposedly it had already aftermarket axles installed by the previous owner, do not know why exactly..... I think the previous owner had a little mishap and had to change them out. FWIW

I am not surprised you've got some vibrations if it was in an accident that was severe enough to replace the axles.
