My 06 RX330 has the other type 2016 battery, just FYI.

That could be one of the differences between those sold in the US versus those sold in Australia. Something I mentioned previous in this exact thread. The Owner's Manual here in the US says CR2016 on page 27 and it is what I have used in the past when I replaced:

The batteries are definitely of different diameters -- 16mm vs. 20mm.

I got the blank key from amazon and got the key cut for $35 total. It was easy to find a place that does this May be bc I'm in LA area.
