I noticed in your profile you have a 2004, which is correct as the 1MZFE 3.0 engine continued to be used in the Harrier/RX series in certain areas of the world despite having the second generation body. I know that in the 1st generation forum we have a few owners from Hong Kong.

Nice! I was wondering who you guys use for servicing and detailing? I don't want to go the dealer way because i found them not that helpful, and definitely not providing Lexus level of service that I got back in the US.

Normally I don't bring my car to dealer as well. I just bring it to my mechanic, as the same as my other cars. But depends what the problem is, some problems better handle by the dealer. Normally I'll just let my mechanic to decide which way to go.

what kind of servicing is good for Hong Kong?? just a standard oil change ($1000 dollars) or should i go for the package that HP Cars has which is around 3700 and does Oil + filter, transmission drain + fill, differential drain + fill, fans + steering + ac belts change, spark plugs?

Steve, just PM'd my number to you. Its got WhatsApp as well.

don't need to do shocks for my car, but do want to do the oil, transmission, differential, trans axle fluids change. But would be good if we could take it to a mechanic and explain it to him.....

i don't speak cantonese so doing it is quite hard...and getting the fluids is near to impossible because all the suppliers speak cantonese only.

Where in HK are you?

Yes, RuninRoach, some time it's very difficult to explain what you want to do to the car if you can't speak cantoness in HK. That's why I quite often have to help my mechanic to do translation over the phone. And if they see you are a foreigner, some of them may mark up the price to sky high. ^_^
