Does anyone know what this part is? part number? where can I find one? I've googled everywhere and I can't seem to find the official name, part number, or who sells this part. I saw a .jp vendor, but they only ship to Japan. Any help would be appreciated.

What happened to yours? Missing? Alos the clips that comes with it, they are a pain. So I just used the claws without the bolt. They still stay there. So when I service my PS fluid, it is easy to remove and re-install.

I change my PS streeing fluid every oil change. Now it is finally pink in color. It started brownish...

Yeah, ours came without one. My guess is the previous owner got tired of removing it and threw it out. Thanks for the heads up on the clips and the PS fluid. I might get a cover after I get the timing belt replaced next month. I'm about to tackle another repair, the dreaded headlight moisture problem, which I'll probably use your DIY to fix/seal. thanks btw-

So easy to lose the plastic bolts. But that engine area is so ugly haha. Needs that cover.

i took mine off. it serves no purpose,and you cant get to your power steering fluid with out removing it. and when i removed it,the ps fluid was low,so tech`s never checked under their either.

That really sucks. When you prevent a tech (and if he is the lazy one...XXX) to do his job, that's poor engineering. The original clip design made it so cumbersome to remove the 4 clips without breaking the plastic screws. Sucky!

Blame Lexus for bad "engineering" when a Mechanic does not do his job? It's just a cover. I wish the whole engine bay was like that

You have a point. The Europeans started it. Covers for the whole engine bay. Like nobody touch this...off limits.

The SC's engine bay is almost covered up. It is nice to look at.

The clips are pretty ingenious, IMHO. Reusable and easy to operate. Do a search for a tutorial on how they push in to unlock and then you reset them to refasten the covers.

It's been a busy maintenance month Wifey's RX…timing belt / water pump, oil change, tire rotation, I also got a leaky window molding corner sealed. Today, I got more goodies from Sewell: the side engine compartment cover (which the previous owner discarded), mounting push-clips for the cover, and windshield wiper blades and squeegees (I Installed Bosch Icon wipers on it when we bought the vehicle last year).

I thought it was a good time to cover the timing, serpentine belts, and water pump I replaced last week and I also heard good things about the stock squeegees here on the forums. The Bosch Icon wipers were quiet and wiped cleanly, but after 6 months, they started streaking. At $30 each, replacing them every 6 months would run $120. Just made more sense to just replace the OEM squeegees ($7 each) instead of buying whole new Icons every 6 months.

Looks good, As for wipers you can buy the entire arm from costco for $8, buy one get one (if you are member watch for its coupon sale) will get you a pair. It is easier to install. Just a suggestion.
