Oil drain plug
I have a 09 RX350 and found that the oil drain plug had no gasket or crush washer.
This vehicle has always been serviced at the at the dealership.
Does this vehicle have a crush washer for the oil pan drain plug?
The vehicle has never leaked oil

Yes, there is a washer that goes on the drain plug. It is included with the oil filter kit from the dealer. You are supposed to replace it every time you change the oil, as it crushes when torqued down. You should tell the dealer their oil change man is not following procedures.

Here is a DIY oil change procedure with PICTURES. The GS350 and RX350 are done the same way. The old spin off type oil filter went away with the 2007 model year.

Oil Drain Plug
Thanks for the info. I had and 02 RX300 and it had a crush washer on the oil drain plug.
I just wanted to make sure because this engine and oil filter system is different.
I wonder why there was no leak at the drain plug.

oil drain plug
There was no crush washer on the drain plug.
When I first started to remove the drain plug I noted no washer so I tightened the plug back up, and made this post.
I went to auto parts store and obtained the washer and did the service today.

I recommend installing a Fumoto drain valve - http://www.fumotousa.com/ . Very secure and easy to use. Worth the $20-25 bucks and makes draining oil so easy. I have one on my 09 RX350 and have had one on all vehicles i have owned.
