Default HELP-RX 350 will not start

HI there,
This am tried to start the car, the lights are working and nothing was "dead" from the power issue. However, when I put the key and try to turn the engine on, there is a noise and a red fuel light comes on, the noise is continuous and the car does not start.
Please HELP.
Thanks
D

The light is actaully the oil light (red one ). I did tried t- de-immobilize the engine and start and it still would not work.

I don't have a manual in front of me so what does the red light mean?

First suspect would be the battery. The lights would still turn on even if there's not enough juice to start the starter.

Is the noise like a fast clicking noise? That's a dead battery symptom. There's still enough power to make the noise but not enough to start. Ask CAA or a neighbor to jump start it. If doesn't jump start, that eliminates the battery as the issue.

Pull the battery and get it tested. Most auto parts stores will do this for free.

I just noticed your vehicle is a RX350 (2007 or newer). That battery would still be under the Lexus warranty. Prorated of course.

Default Any solutions to this?

Running into exactly the same issue here. Overdue on an oil change but didn't think it would cause the car to not start

Have you ruled out a dead/weak battery?

Does it crank? or is there nothing when key turned? What is the noise? Oil light will come on when ignition turned on - normal.

Today's electronic cars don't give the warnings of a weakening battery that we used to get, like lights dimming while the starter turned. Today the car will start fine one day and not turn over the next. Low or old oil is not a factor. The "noise" is a clicking noise, which is the solenoid pushing the electric starter motor into the engine, but the battery lacks enough power to turn it over, as that is the biggest job a battery is asked to do. In this condition, the lights, especially the interior lights, will still come one, the radio will work, etc.
That's about all I know about batteries.
