Mail notification arrived today. I'll schedule the replacement soon. It states a minimum of 2 hours and possibly longer depending on what they find. Guess I will take the loaner and combine this with the routine service which is also due. Should make sure to run the gas down as they always fill the tank if there is a recall.

could you please confirm if they do infact fill you gas tank after the recall? and could you possibly ask who pays for it? whether its the dealership footing the bill or if its at the corporate level (which it probably is).

Think that was the Dealership that did that. Had the AC work done on my RX330 back in 2006 and they did not fill the gas tank they did want to run the car in the car wash and I made the pull it out of that line just before it when in. Black Forest Pearl and it has only been hand washed.

Mine was shipped from Japan

Our 2005 RX was made in Japan. Do not recall if it was the ML that was ordered with the car or the color Black Forest Pearl that did it. However, the VIN starts with a J. I had the brakes fluid changed at 30k and 60k miles once at the Lexus store and the other time at the Toyota store. Mail notification arrived today will let Lexus store deal with it next week when it is their car.

I just had our "new" 2006 RX inspected at the local dealer and the "Check for uncompleted SSCs and recalls" line noted that there was one needed, but in the comments it said that "ALG campaign parts not available yet"

I wonder if I can get a free brake fluid flush out of the deal?
I had the recall performed yesterday. They replaced the master cylinder seal and the brake fluid in the master cylinder only. They did not flush the entire system or fill up the car, but they did wash it. Sorry no fluid flush because the car has 58.5k miles on it and the 60k mile service recommends a brake fluid flush. I did get to drive an ES350 loaner with 4k miles. Very nice!

When master cylinder is replaced, the air has to be purged and that is like a flush. If not 100% at least 90%.

My recall work was done today and yes, they fill the tank with gas. My service rep told me when I made the appointment that they would, and they did. I brought it in with a range of 24 miles and left full.

Well mine is on the shop as of this writing. They better fill her up and give her a wash. I would be disappointed if they do not.

Well they still have my car. Should be done tomorrow noon. Let's see. What could have taken so long?

I bet you that's what it was. Should have taken it earlier in the week. New Year's eve does not inspire you to work.
