Also be careful when removing them. The plastic caps at the end of each rail have a yellow christmas tree plug that can break if not done properly and if you lose it will cost a $120 (Australian) to replace. I made the mistake of not checking mine, thinking they would slide out (as per the instruction manual), and found that mine were actually Rhino Racks (aftermarket) that clamped onto the rails.

I removed the rear plastic cover ends of the roof rack by sliding them back. I then slide the cross bars back and out of the track. I noticed that one of the cross bars was difficult to move because the locking pin mechanism is broken. I used a flat head screwdriver to release the pin.
Does anyone know where I can find a TSB for the crossbars for 2003-2009 RX 330/350/400h?

Mandyfig,
I'm not familiar with the 2nd generation, but mine is a 2010. I've read the other threads and still can't get the cover off. I'm afraid to pull and pry to hard, particularly when others say that when to get the hang of it, it's real easy. Any help would be appreciated.
