Best oil filter????

On the other hand, there's no mention of their size on Sewell website, and generic parts dealers come up with exactly the same filters (K&N HP-1002, Mobil M1-102, etc.) for both the SC and the RX.
Are you sure that the OEM ...D3 filter is longer?
And if yes, do you know by chance if it fits in the 400h?

I usually use Toyota filters, but I thought I'd try the Fram Ultra, and I also bought a Denso.
Fram Ultra is made in USA, Denso is made in China, Toyota is supposedly made in Thailand.
I see very little difference between the Denso and Toyota. All three filters are within a millimeter of the same size.
Here's a pic for comparison:

How would you rank them from best to worst in your opinion.

I've cut open used Toyota and Denso filters the Toyota media looked to me like it held up better the Denso one was more fuzzy. Also the resin in the Toyota filter looks better applied. That Fram filter has probably 60% media compare to Toyota.

I weighed each of them.
Fram: 2.34 ounces
Denso: 1.0 ounce
Toyota: 0.96 ounces

If possible separate the media and measure it I know it's not easy on the Toyota filter I had to saw the top part off. More weight does not make a better filter.

Fram Ultra being made in the USA is a plus for me.
I been buying my oil filters on ebay in packs of 5 and setting them on the shelf for when needed.
Only cost approx $5 ea when buying that way -BUT- other members schooled me on here about a year ago they are making fake Denso/Toyota filters now.
I knew they were making clone & fake Lexus parts and putting in Denso & Lexus boxes but I just was thinking copying oil filters was really reaching low and not worth anyone's time to make fakes but I was wrong. lol

Yeah, it looks that way in the pics too.
But does more mean better?
I really don't know but it looks like the Fram Ultra has a thicker media material.
Oil Filter Wars Begin! haha
Hi IMSQ, honestly I don't know but I'm imaging with inflation they might be a little pricey, but I could also be wrong too.
I stop by Lexus when I need oem parts as last resort if I can't get from trusted seller on ebay.
But- buying "oem" Denso filters on ebay ***** nilly from random sellers with the best price- well, I haven't done that since I found out they are all fakes.
I used my last fake "Denso" oil filter so I'm staying tuned to see what ya'll are running and what everone thinks anbout these filters.

I'll swing by Lexus dealer and get ya'll a current price for comparison, just for fun since it's only half a mile away.
The toyota dealer is on other side of county and 45 mins away so I never go there.
The pain about my local Lexus dealer is they make you give them your VIN# before they will look up parts & availability, so I'll bring my registration in with me. lol
