Default Looking for OEM quality chrome side-steps and maybe bumper guard?

Where do you guys buy this stuff?

My wife could use a step to get into and out of the car sometimes and I like how it cosmetically looks eye pleasing.

Do you guys buy this from the dealer or on Ebay?

Any difference in quality and fit/finish?

thanks
rick

there are nerf bars on ebay for $175. they look pretty good in terms of fitment.

The only after market company, I personally can vouch for chrome quality (and product build) is Jaos. You have to choose carefully as some of the stuff can hurt your eyes.

Although price is not a guide for quality, but good product can not be cheap.

I agree you have to pay for quality so I wanted to see how many of you just went with OEM from Lexus? Is the quality that much better?

This is something not critical to engine or electronic components, will go with after market though. The quality seems to be good for after market stuff.

When we are talking about add on, I can hardly think of anything OEM. The dealer installed options are typically non-Lexus ... like chrome wheels, gold plated signs etc. With time they tarnish. For bars and steps etc, the fitment and weld quality is very important.

Example are two Jaos things I have, a skid plate and bull bars. Not a single spot of rust and the chrome is as good as day one (9 yrs ago). The hardware is as tight as I installed them.

Choose carefully.

disclaimer: I am a happy customer and Jaos has given me no incentives to speak highly of their product.
