Default Can a RX330 tow a boat?

I am brand new to the forum and have just recently started to look more seriously at my next SUV purchase. I have always loved the RX's and I am strongly considering purchasing one. However, I will also be purchasing a 19'-22' wakeboard boat in the near future as well. I am trying to narrow down my choises of SUVs and was wondering if an RX330 was even capable of towing a boat like that? I know there are other SUVs that are more capable, however I dont want anything that is as big as a Tahoe/Expedition/etc. Any suggestions or common knowledge when it comes to towing boats with the RX330?

If your question is can Rx pull a trailer (with a certain limit on tongue weight and dead weight)... the answer is yes. Is it designed to it, answer is No. Keep in mind it is a unibody structure. Frame based vehicles are more suited to pull a trailer.

Check the owners manual about weight capacity and choose an AWD if you select the RX. Do the home work on the tow ready package. The RX over time has had a few changes ....[take the vin to the dealer and ask .. do not rely on yr and model]

if you choose to go for an RX, make sure it has the sport package. it comes factory with a heavy duty transmission, radiator, etc. )basically tow ready, but a much better tranny than the others.

the max weight for the RX is 3400 lbs, so i would base your decision on that.

if the RX cant do it, theres always the LX and GX
