Default RX400h Pioneer System Info

Sorry to bother you guys, but I've searched all over the forums for several days trying to find out information about the stock audio system in the RX. What is the mounting depth for the front door and rear door speakers? Does anyone know what the ohm rating is for them? I have two speaker sets I have found that I have in mind, I attached links (they are Infinity Kappa speakers.) Think these speakers would work? Don't want to spend a whole lot on the upgrade, and I think the about $400 total for these speakers is a good price range for me (don't need ridiculously expensive Focal or Dynaudio, etc...) Just want a little more clarity to the sound and cleaner more responsive bass. Thanks in advance for your help!

6x9 Speakers for Front: Kappa 6x9
6.5" for Back: Kappa 6.5

According to the Metras guide:

Code:
Location	Size	Depth
Front Speaker	6X9"	3"
Front Speaker	3"	4"
Front Tweeter	0.75"	1"
Rear Speaker	6.5"	3"
Center Speaker	3"	4"
Subwoofer	6.5"	4"
Subwoofer	6.5"	4"

Don't know if this helps because it's for the ML...but for what it's worth..

Here are the Mark Levinson stereo/speaker specs -

Tweeter (these are the speakers in the A pillar) - 2cm, 8 ohms

Squawker (the two up front in the dash) - 6.5cm, 8 ohms

Woofer (in the front doors) - 6x9, 8 ohms

Full Range (in the back doors) - 16 cm + 2 cm, 16 ohms (I think this is where they come up with the two extra to make 11 speakers)

Squawker (center) - 6.5 cm, 8 ohms

OUTPUT - 240 W

Make sure you post back how the upgrade went. I am also interested in replacing the speaker in my 400h. Thanks

Thank you all for your help! Unfortunately, I decided not to upgrade the speakers after looking at them. They use a special bracket to attach to the door, and they are built into the regular speakers so you cannot take off the bracket to use with new speakers. I suppose it is possible to create a custom bracket or something, but I figured the stock speakers were not that bad ( I am pretty impressed with the bass) and not worth all the extra fiddling.

Don't suppose it matters now, but I found the exact information you need in my shop manual...this is for the NON Mark Levinson

Tweeter - 3.5cm - 4ohms - 21w (50w max)

'Squawker' per the manual (in the dash up near the windshield)
6.5cm - 4ohms - 21w (50w max)

'Woofer' per the manual (front door speakers)
6 x 9 - 2ohms - 33w (83w max)

'Full Range' per the manual (back door speakers)
16cm - 4ohms - 21w (50w max)

The Mark Levinson are in the same places, plus it has the centre speaker (squawker again) in the dash above the NAV. However, the tweeters are 2cm, the 'full range' have an additional 2cm speaker in them (that's how they come up with 11 speakers, though those additional two speakers are located with the full range speakers. For output there is just a single number of 240w.

Also, the ohms are greater for every speaker in the ML system.

Most Toyotas' speakers mount just like that too. It's a piece of cake to swap out speakers, you will need tapping screws and just mount the speakers without the bracket. At least that was how the pro audio shop I went to did.
I had MB quarts premium on my old car.
