AC blower motor - where to purchase
Where can I purchase an AC blower motor for a 2004 RX 330 other than the dealer? No autoparts store is carrying this and I can't find one at a junkyard. Also, is this difficult to install yourself?
Thanks

dont get an aftermarket one, it wont fit right and you will have to mess with the electrical plug.
i know this may seem dumb, and i dont mean to offend, but are you sure its the blower motor?? there are other parts which can stop it from working, such as the blower motor resistor. i would start by removing the old one and bench testing it ( there will only be 2 prongs, hook up positive to one and negative to the other and see if it spins, might save you a trip). they are easy to remove, just above where the passenger feet go, 3 screws and it will come straight down.
if you do buy one, buy it from the dealer and ask if you can return it if it doesnt fix it.

Typical in auto industry is:
Any mechanical part not installed is returnable (with original packing).
Any electrical part once purchased is NOT returnable. (installed or not).
So do all the tests to make sure the blower is bad before you buy a new one. In other words, check availability from dealer, remove the old one and check it out.

Does it have to be different? We can agree to agree
Over the net it is hard to determine the level of awareness of a poster. I try to share information and here I was explaining the return policy. It can be useful to the current poster or for future readers.
