I read through your thread with the ES300 and it looked like something interesting to do with my ES300. Now you're doing it on the RX.........awesome! I for one would actually like to change the door sills with the illuminated Lexus to be a warm white instead of the yellowy/orangey colour I currently have. It would match the halo's on the dash when you get in and also the needles - but then that's just me. Can't wait to see what you get up to with this mod.

I am so glad you posted this. I was just thinking about doing this to my 2005 RX 330 as in my last car the LED domes made such a HUGE difference in lighting up my car Thanks also for posting a bulb list as well.

Did you change out the under dash lights? I can take a photo but there is definitely light coming from when my feet are and in the door handles as well. Was this a thing they put into the later 05 model or do you have it as well but just have not done the change out?

Thanks,
James

It's not about saying it's a 100% retrofit. I just like to do it all But I get your meaning. I think what I am going to do since you already have the experience is do the stuff you did and see if I feel it's enough for me. The orange might work. It's very subtle.

Thanks Mike,
James

I've done everything like yours and it makes a big difference IMO. I hate the oem yellow looking lights. I've changed the lights in all my cars, it just looks better. Glad to see there are others doing it as well.

Shoot! Only Canada Can't seem to order the bulbs. But at least I have some reference. Only thing so far I am having a hard time finding is the Vanity mirrors; 4x 31 MM SMD LED, 'fuse style bulbs'. I found one but it's $14 a set.

Yes those are Canada sellers. I can't seem do be able to buy from them. However I did another search copy and pasted the description and found it in USA. Last night I could not find it. Heh I actually did not buy them cause I was hoping to find them cheaper today ($2.50 a piece). Looks like I did Thanks for the help.

true that! Did you do the map lights yet?

PS: The two Dome lights front and rear are great. I got smaller ones than you, but they work fine.

wow got mine quick. I still have to install them cause I have not been home to pick up the package.

Update:
Not really as bright as I would have liked. But still work like a charm. The pics are only examples but they are allot dimmer looking to the open eye.

A little better to the real look but still not this bright.
