RX versus Venza
I was comparing a 2010 Toyota Venza AWD and 2010 Lexus RX 350 AWD. Although the Venza sits lower than the RX, they can be well equipped with the same equipment. There is a price difference, with the Venza costing less, but the RX has the name brand. Has anyone else made this comparison. I will say I don't go off-roading in my current RX. With that said, who takes there RX off-road anyway?

No, I don't play soccer!
I took a look at the Venza when I was at NY Auto Show last year and was disappointed. It looked cheap inside, from the plastic wood to the weird surface textures on the seats and dash. That quickly ended any further comparison.
As far as taking the RX off-road, does driving on NJ roads qualify If not, the answer is no, I haven't.

the venza is quite a bit smaller, espectially in the cargo area, for me, i need to put a stroller back there, and the venza could barely do that, the RX however has much more room.
but where the venze shines is being able to choose AWD/FWD combined with 4cyl/6cyl

I test drove a Venza prior to purchase a RX400H, originally I had high hopes on the Venza
after reading its brochure and facts but after seeing it in person, I was really disappointed
I like the carbon fiber interior but after ordering a certain package, I was forced to go to the cheap plastic wood interior which I hated. I also didn't like the rear hatch styling either.
Overall even though the Venza has appealing packages and want to looks like a RX, it still not a Lexus RX.

Venza is not quite in the league of the RX.
