Replacing RX330 Rear Quarter Glass -DIY???
Has anyone seen a guide or pictures on how one can replace the rear quarter glass on an RX330 or similar? I looked in the forums and could not find one - unless I am looking in the wrong place.
I just ordered a replacement glass for the rear passenger side and wanted to try do the job myself.
Otherwise, what is a decent price to pay for a shop or similar to do this kind of work?
Thanks!

If it's the "red" glass. It's pretty straightforward.
Door panel has to come out.
Then the rear window next and see what you have to take out from here on.
Expect around $150..maybe more on this.
If it's the "green" glass...
I think this is glued on by some adhesive. Maybe sime nuts are involved. Not sure.
I'd find a "glass guy" to do this. Probably $100- $150 is fair.

Thank you Nad. When I get the replacement I will assess the situation and see where I stand with the DIY option. Chances are it will be worth getting someone to just do it, but I was surprised not to find others that have done this on the forums here and have documented the process.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well, I bit the bullet and did the removal and install myself after acquiring a used replacement glass on ebay.
Holy smokes! the rubber "glue" they use to attach that window to the car could survive re-entry on the outside of the space shuttle!!
Took me about an hour with an xacto knife to get that rubber window frame off slowing cutting the back of the "glue" off. Wow.
Anyhow was finally able to install the replacement piece and replace the glue with silicone and use the clips included with the replacement. These were not in the original piece.

Nope. This is actually for the back rear quarter window - the one with the "L - Lexus" type molding around it. I had to "carve" it out. It felt like I was filleting a fish.
