RX330 Winter Carpet Protection
OK all you OCD guys like me. Here is my latest invention in carpet protection for this blizzard of a winter. Contractor garbage bag cut open and taped to the door jamb painted areas with wrestling mat tape. Here is the photo and here is where to get the tape (that won't pull off the paint..it's more like a "Colorforms" friction adherence). Been installed for two nasty weeks now and is working well.
I did this to my 2009 LS460AWD but we also have a 2006 RX330 AWD that I will probably "protect" soon as well now that I see it's working on the LS.

They do a great job. This is my second skin (two different cars). They are custom cut and have a variety of colors. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I'll never be without one again.

That winter carpet protection works! Great idea.
Thankfully not as much needed here in ATL.
I am truly happy with that fact. Although there's snow predicted tonight.
It wont stick though.

Correct. The seat covers have velcro in that area that breaks open if the airbag deploys. As I said, they are custom made by these guys:

carpet protection tape
Hey Daryll,
I don't have a photo, but I do somethign similar using this:
carpet protection tape
The carpet protection stuff is trickier to apply, but all of it sticks down so you don't have to worry about it moving around on you.
stay dry!
