I was trolling another thread and I wanted to bring this up to the title level in case anyone has the goods on how to do this one. I have the 2006 400h and I'm trying to figure out how to go to Gen 5 navigation or get out of the 256 into the 32000 color scheme. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Okay after reading some responses I think the override function is for navigation utility doesn't not "unlock" a different color scheme. Is there a way for me to upgrade to Gen 5 navigation software?

There is a member that can do this for you. Here is the information that I have been given on this method.


"You would have to switch both screen and computer and I would custom make gen 4 to gen 5 adapter harness. Cost is $2500.00. Would give you $1000.00 trade in of old equipment. So the total would be $1500.00 to switch systems. That includes shipping and any tech support that you may need. Yes the 5th gen nav system went to higher pixel screen and colors increased from 256 to 32,000."
