My front passenger door recently stopped locking and unlocking with auto lock. However, i was still able to manually lock and unlock which worked for me. Suddenly the lock has become completely jammed in locked position. door cannot be opened at all.......
any suggestions for avoiding $700 lexus bill for getting it fixed....would not even mind if it just went back to being able to lock manually.

Did you check that you did not push the window/lock button that will do what you described ? The button at the top right on the drivers window/lock console.
