Most tires at half or more wear lose traction, get noisy etc..
I can't see going for over $200 per for the OEM Michelins when other tires tested and in surveys have better results.
I've also found through the years that most OEM tires are average at best and there are many tires that perform better for same price or less.
IMO,Bridgestone Alenza's are better than OEM Michelins at $30 less per tire.
Great reviews on certain Kumho tire. One is Kumho Road Venture APTKL51 that I may try.
Thanks for the reply. Dang, if I can only get 25K miles out of these tires I will for sure be looking for another kind of tire. I have plenty of tread left but like I said I only have 11K miles on them.

Cat,the RX is leased and I'd have to buy tires anyway by lease end.I figure I'll get a set now and enjoy better traction and still have enough tread for lease return inspection. If I wasn't leasing,I'd probably do another 5-6K and then change if I owned the RX.
I don't lease the ES 350 and I sold my new Bridgstone EL400's off my ES to a neighbor with an '07 ES 350 and added $250 for a higher rated, better ride comfort and quieter tire.
I like good rubber on the street.
