Its plug and play. Works like a champ.
I’m tired of these drls always being on.
good discussion. I came hear trying to find a high beam relay location from another thread for a 04 rx330. Alas it seems the drl relay is part of the circuit.

regarding drl the main reason I disabled mine on a car is to extend the headlight bulb life. Bulbs are not cheap. Think about the lifespan of hours saved not running in the day. Most newer cars including newer Toyota’s have a auto light setting now days and lights automatically come on with your wipers and when it gets dusk.
my 2009 Chrysler town and country does this. My 05 Prius did too and I don’t remember them being drl.

There are lots of old cars on the road with primitive tech. I can imagine sylvania loving the drl law. Lol.

The RX 400h relay is twice the size.

I will perform the same mod I did on my previous Audi vehicles I used to own. I will use electrical tape, around the relay tab and insert the relay back therefore negating the contact and voltage that energizes the relay when the vehicle is on. This will be simple, and quick.

Hi MadloR, Did you find solution for 400h 2006?

Default DRL Module

I found that switching the relay will not work on my 2009 RX350, not sure why but I'm not a mechanic so I'm going to have to take it in & find out why my Dr side DRL works fine but not the passenger side after changing to LEDS & adding the harness to stop the Flickering. I know it's not the light (cross checked) or fuses. Interestingly it wont work now even if I plug the OEM harness straight back in. The High Beams work fine on both sides. I think it might be the DRL Module. I've tried the relay swap, removing fuses & can't find anything that will turn off the DR side DRL so I need to get the PS fixed.
Can someone tell me exactly where the DRL Module is located. Pics would be great. I've been trying to find something about it for days on the web but no luck other than you have to remove the bumper. I haven't even been able to find the module for sale.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Pretty easy just using Techstream.... and one button remote door unlock and things like that, lighting timing easy to do under customization.

Every day I see at least one car on the road, when its dark out, with the lights off.
The DRL fool people into thinking their lights are on when, in fact, their taillights are off as are their front lights. But they think their lights are on because some of their dashboard lights are illuminated when their DRL's are on.

The first thing I did when I bought my RX was shutoff those DRLs. It was worth the trouble of getting Techstream.

DRLs are a safety item. I disabled mine, but installed an LED strip to act as DRL.

It's better to place a switch in "auto" mode...
