When you say "3M Scotchguard paint protection", do you mean ClearBra? I have it on both Lexuses, to me it was worth every penny. For the RX I bought it here:

and paid my window tinting guy $300 for installation. The dealer wanted $900. I declined and during the first week got a large rock on the front edge of the hood. So, I got it done, and since then it saved me from countless rockchips. So, $900 is a little too much, but how much would it cost to re-paind the hood?
