Default Please help me decide on a RX350!

Hi everyone. I will be moving out of a reliable worthy 2001 Jeep GC limited to hopefully a RX350, 07 ML350, or a 07 MDX.

I think I am leaning to a RX350 although I really would like a 3rd row. I love the refined feeling of the Lexus. My causing has a newer ES350 and when I rode in it I thought "Wow, this feels like a nice car"...I didnt get to test drive a RX yet, but I read plenty of reviews and how they feel a little boring to drive..

It seems like there is plenty of power and luxury and Im looking at ones with Nav..do all Nav models have satellite radio?

What do you guys think of this deal? I am not sure if its CPO

Anyhow, The ML is nice, but Im leaning towards the Lexus reliability. The Acura is my favorite but I talked myself out of spending $36,000 (A loaded 07 will run about that) and trying to get out the door $30K or less with a RX..

Thanks for any feedback on how youve liked your RX. This is going to be my wifes daily driver and our family car on weekends. We have a 2 yo daughter, I see the read dvd is rare so I guess im gonna have to get an aftermarket one installed too... So far I noticed one only from the dealer like I posted and they sold it in a week !

I have owned a 2007 RX for a tad over 3 years now. The only problem was the battery went dead about the 2 1/2 year mark. Although I only have 16K miles on it the vehicle is wonderful in all aspects. Fuel mileage is great. Around 20.6 around town. If you are looking for a quality, quiet, and enjoyable SUV I don't think you can go wrong with the RX350. Should you buy from an individual or non Lexus dealer would recommend a thorough check by a qualified tech. Good luck and happy hunting. Most of all enjoy it.
Mine has the Prem plus pkg with Nav. Should you find one with low mileage in great condition for $30K you are lucky IMO.

No, all Nav models do not hav Sat radio. That was a dealer installed option. It is available from a vendor here to seamlessly install with full integration into the Nav touch screen. Good luck with the 30K price point. We got ours from a used dealer for 30K but our 2007 had 45,000 miles. The CPO at the dealer seems to have gone up, they had a loaded 2007 with 54,000 miles listed for $35,000.

Good luck!

I love our RX. It has served my family admirably, we've driven it to Boston from San Jose without a single hiccup. The only problems I've had are all minor: small rattles, battery failed load-test (replaced with NO inconvenience), and hazing headlight lenses. It really is a great car.

In replacing our van, I came upon the MDX. I really like it. It does almost everything better than the RX. It is a little less refined, the wood has no life, it is not very fuel efficient, and it is pretty ugly. But other than that it is AMAZING! The handling is unlike anything of its size except for the likes of the Cayenne, X5... The features and size are perfect. It can also tow more than the RX which is a bug +++ in my book. I highly recommend it. Resale value is quite good, so I just bargained on a new one. Outgoing 09s are slightly different than 10s so I would try to get my hands on one of those. I paid 40k for tech package in August so you should be able to do at least 38k and you're getting a brand new car!

The ML has significant reliability issues. Go Japanese. If it was going to be Dad's car I'd say MDX. The ladies (including my wife) love the RX.
