I can second that. Helped with the hesitation. Would have done earlier.

The TSB is up to 7 years or 72K miles...so watch out if you want in on this. The 04's!

Mandy, some '04s are already past the deadline like my old one (9/03). But I did get it done before trading in.

You are right. Mine was done a few weeks before the anniversary of my service date!

Of course I have been planning on this and in fact had a list of things I needed corrected prior to expiration of my extended warranty which was good to 7 years.

Worked out well.

They want to charge me $120 and say it does not always work plus you can't undo it once it's been flashed.

That is the cost if you are out of warranty.

Yes I know this. Unfortunate. However I wonder if I can force them to re-flash it till it's working right. I hear some times it does not take.

Once it is done, you can't re-flash. Unless you know someone at Lexus that will do it for you

Howdy Visual,
I looked around on the forum but could not find the PDF. Can you point me to it? I called two Lexus dealers. One said it falls under the 4yrs/50k miles while another that actually looked it up saying 8yrs/96k miles like you stated above. I'm taking mine in for the brake fluid cup recall and hopefully get both done at the same time. The one dealer (closer to me) that I want to bring the car to is the one that didn't bother to look it up

Got this done today (Aug 2004 RX330, 55K miles) at no charge. I am not seeing much difference. Service rep said it will take upto 2 weeks but many posts in thread seem to indicate that results were immediate.

Just read this forum. and im glad i did.
My 2004 RX330 is over 100,000 miles. When I purchased it brand new, I got the extended warranty. which covers for additional years, or up to 100,000 miles. I never got the "recalibrate ECM engine & transmission" recall letter. In all the years I brought it in, NOBODY told me about it.
Also looked on the aboutautomobile.com link from above (thank you jfelbab) and found out more recalls that I never received notice from.
Do i have a right to be mad??? The safety recalls are from 2004 & 2006!!
Do you all have any suggestions on what i should do? I go in to Lexus quite a bit, get loaner cars and have fun with them. And i am appalled nobody told me about them. I have many Lexus vehicles. The newest one being the new 2011 RX350. Am I to expect Lexus NOT to notify me of these safety recalls???
