Default michelin tires

My 08 rx 350 18 inch tires have 25,000 miles and are wearing in the center of the tire...Always have 32 lbs of air and rotated regulary....they still look good other wise but seem to be nosier.....Has any one else noticed thier Michelins wearing like this and making more road noise after about 20,0000 miles ? I am in Austin Texas where the roads are hot....

Yup, You both are right about the preasure...I am almost sure the dealer here in Austin puts them at 32...Any way I just checked them and they were all around 35...These hot roads in texas will increase the preasure...Need to check them often...

I run 34 to prevent the center wear. But find it at 36 after a few days, where I let air out back to 34. It pays to check pressure at least every 2 weeks.

I'm in GA so it is extremely hot here also. I normally run 3
2.5-33PSI all around but today AM I checked and put 33PSI all around. Drove approx. 15 miles (in town) and rechecked and it was 36PSI, Just have to watch the presssure closely in hot weather: like 95DF. Will lower my pressure tomorrow AM before the Sun gets up too high to 32PSI.

your tire pressure will always go up after driving, so it doesnt really mean anything when you measure it then. if you want consistency you could opt for nitrogen instead of regular air, but its probably not as easy to find places to refill.

Way too many years out of school for me to remember which law governs pressure and temperature (Boyle's Law?) but it is a rule of thumb that, for every ten degree temperature increase/decrease, your tire pressure goes up/down one psi. It doesn't matter that the temperature is induced from just driving (sidewall flex) or having the outside air temp go up. That is why all tire manufacturers say to check tire pressure when cold or at least not driven for several hours. I never check tire pressue after driving them!

With regard to the OP, I have a hard time thinking that a 2 psi addition to your tires is causing it to wear high. Are you using a quality pressure gauge to check tires? I have found wide variability in pressure gauges and stopped using the "pencil" style except for desperate measures like out in the middle of no where and I can't find my good pressure gauge.
