Breaking an RX Window on youtube!
I came accross this on youtube, some women breaks the windows to her RX because the key is locked in it. The Windows are quit strong, but the glass cutter broke it.

Everyone needs to remember this if they end up submerged, get the window down fast before the electrical goes down, cause it looks like it is going to be hard to get thru the glass! How many of us carry such a tool like they used in the back seat?

I will go out on a limb and offer $500 (Monopoly money?) to someone who wants to try that on a full-size side window. I will bet you that the window will shatter on the second try. If you make a window small enough, and surround it with a sturdy frame, it will support quite a bit. Make it a whole lot bigger and it will flex enough that it will easily shatter. That is why the makers of the emergency tools for breaking auto glass tell you to go after the side windows and not the tiny little vanity windows.

I am betting I could kick the windshield out of the frame.

if your submerged you screwed in general. after watching a mythbusters episode on this topic, it seems like its unreasonable to wait until the car sinks to the bottom so that the pressure becomes equal. they say you should open the door as the car falls into the water, or carry a tool in the glovebox. after watching that, i bought one for myself just in case

In a previous life I was a firefighter, we carried these for getting the glass out in passengar extractions.
Very effective, even under water, and better than a window hammer, since you don't need any swinging room. Window hammers work great from the outside though.
