Default Don't Drive Your RX over a snow bank! dumb dumb

Below is not a rant or anything just a story because I asked the car to do something it was not made for.

Ok i am a retard slap me on the back of my head, I was in a parking last night and it was empty and decided to drive my RX330 over a snow bank with my friend who was in a F150 pick up and got a stuck and it got stuck. Yes I did for no reason at all, just because I don't know. It went up up and stop wheel spinning and oh crap I feel stupid. My friend tried pulling and it wouldn't budge well it could but he was afraid that it would damage my undercarriage. Mainly from what we could tell it was the rear wheel passenger it just kept spinning, tried etc snow no help. Tried using the parking brake as a wheel lock no help. And then the ABS, VSC, BRAKE and Low tire pressure stayed on. We ended up calling a tow and they had to lift it on the bed to get it off. The car is fine, I think... as after driving I noticed the lights were gone and the car drove normal. We took a look underneath and the car seemed fine. I hope I didn't bend the transmission part, that sends power to the rear.

Yeah moral don't be stupid and drive ur RX over a snow pile. I bet if I had the ground clearance and open chasise of the F150 I could do it too. Also someone way to lock the the 4wd into a part time mode like 25 25 25 25 percent to each wheel

at least mine was not Found Off Road Dead and it does not have exposed screws from the dash that I can hang my jacket off of and ***** that came out of a fisher price oven bake toy set.

There are quite a few lines and hoses, which are well protected, but I would still recommend have some one look at the underside.

Well, the most likely problem you will have is damaging the lower radiator tubes. It is pretty much wide open down there, and a big chunk of ice will punch thru it just fine! I once hit a snow drift on a highway that a plow left, and it dented the fins a lot.

Don't feel too bad. I did the same thing a few years ago in a Jeep Grand-Cherokee. Was trying to drive through over a 3ft snow bank the snow plow left in the front of my driveway. I was too lazy to shovel that day, hey I have a 4x4 right? Ended up having the Jeep stuck right in the middle like a teeter-toter. All four wheels were completely in the air, so the otherwise nice P/T 4x4 didn't help at all. LOL.

I ended up taking a shovel and patiently and carefully shoveling it down until one of the tires made contact with the ground. All in all it was a good cheap lesson - that's when I learned that a 4x4 is not actually invincible...

In any case - glad to hear you didn't damage anything.

That's a funny story.

Kinda surprised that it got stuck like that though. They don't clear our street and I have to park on snowbanks higher than that sometimes. I assume it must have got high centered.
