2008 Rx grill different then 04?
Are the grills different on a 2008/ 2009 RX350 when compared to a 2004 RX 330? And are they interchangeable bolt for bolt?
Thanks
Thanks

'08-09 RX grille is different from '04-'07. The '08-'09 fins are sleeker & is one continuous fin instead of the older fins separating into 2 thinner fins. The bolt patterns are the same & are interchangeable for all model years.

I changed my 04 Grille to a Hybrid grille....looks good, still like the TC grille though....

I replaced my '04 RX grille with the TC grille, and it took about 5 minutes, and that was because I went slow.
All the RX grilles from '04 to '09 are exchangeable, as the hood is always the same and all grilles fit into the same hole in the hood. Four bolts, I think; maybe five.
By the way, if somebody wants a standard '04 grille, I still have it. Price reduced due to economic downturn, and the fourth caller gets a free Senate seat.

Well my car dealer told me the 2008 grill does not fit on the 2004. Oh well at least we know the answer now. Its a no no.

I would be very surprised if it did not fit.
Your dealer may mean it's not a direct replacement because it looks different, and thus probably has a different part number (just like the TC grille has a different part number from the 400h grille and from the standard grille) but if you look under the hood and see the shapes involved, and see the 4 or 5 bolts that hold the grille in place, you will see that any change to the grille would require a change to the hood itself, which would only be done for major cosmetic reasons, and we know that the '09 has no major cosmetic changes.
Clearly, the grille on the '10 is quite different in shape and size, and nobody expects to put an '04 Thundercloud grille on a 2010 RX. But the '04 to '09 grilles should all be the same size and shape.
