Default Oil Changes and Car Washes

How many use the fast lube services to change the oil and filter on their RX and use commercial car washes with those rotory thrashing rags ?

When I don't wash my RX myself, I usually go to hand washes, or if the car's not too dirty, a touchless wash will do. Most of the time I've found the touchless washes simply rearrange the dirt.

Most automated car washes recycle the water. I try to stay away from any car wash that doesn't properly filter that recyc - gray, musty-smelling water is a good tip that your car is being washed in someone else's dirt. Look at the rags, brushes, or carpet scraps being used to wash your car. If they're not clean, go elsewhere.

I will never take any of my cars to automated car wash (except Lexus dealer) because they can malfunction and damage the vehicle.

I let the Toyota dealer change the oil that I take to him (mobile 1) $18.99 last week + $22 for the oil. Still better than Lexus wants to take from you.
And if I do not hand wash it I will use a touch less system don't like the dealer to wash to car after they scratch it with only 5k miles on it. This is a car that I order and it took 4 months to get in.

Neither. I have not used a car wash in years. I live in Pittsburgh and we get nasty winters. I wash my car in the garage using warm water. I haven't let anyone change my oil in any car is a V E R Y long time. Too many horror stories about loose filters and drain plugs. In addition, I can use the oil of choice, Mobil 1 5W-30, without paying an outrageous price.
