Yep, spare is present and accounted for 
My next challenge is to figure out how/why the rear wiper doesn't seem to work. I noted a switch on the front console (beside the frt/seat heater controls) but when I push it (even for a period of time) nada. I am wondering if the rear requires washer fluid, and if so, where does it draw from (the front resevoir)?
I am purchasing a set of owners manuals on-line today. Will be for a US car, but hopefully not wildly different than the Canadian spec cars. $32 US seems like a good deal (I would imagine the dealer is at least $50+).

I just purchased my '04 owners manual set on eBay ($32 bucks shipped to the Great White North) with a leather case too.
I appreciate you guys helping me out, until I can 'begin to read for myself'

The back windshield does draw fluid from the front resevoir also so you only have to fill the one.
Hope that helps at least until you get ur manual : )

I went to the dealer today, and checked on the status of the warranty. Unfortunately my RX's in-service date was April of '03, so the warranty is out. Not sure if I should consider an extended warranty (through Lexus) or not.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Unfortunately, if you wanted to get the extended warranty from Lexus, you need to get it before your 48 mo/50K miles were up. But check out other options. If you had all the TSB's done on the car, you should be good to go. Insurance is insurance. It pays for peace of mind. Sometimes, it does not pay at all.

Mandy makes a good point about the warranty. Now about the headlight de-icer...hmm...not sure whether or not you need to be parked for it to work. To be honest, i've only ever used it while I was stopped.

Push the button at any time and the washer's work when the headlights are on. When the headlights are on and you use the windshield washers, the headlight washers will activate once with the W/W washers.
